The Parks at EastlakeHere is a great example of Bend doing it’s part to help residents have affordable housing.  The Parks at Eastlake hosted it’s grand opening celebration this week with all forty of it’s units already leased.  This community is situated on Bend’s East Side, with easy access to shopping, services and medical facilities. The development consists of forty units of high quality, affordable workforce housing on Bend’s eastside on a 2.64 acre parcel east of Phase I. The property provides 8 one-bedroom, 16 two-bedroom, and 16 three-bedroom apartment homes. Half of the homes are serving households under 50 percent of the area median income while the other half are dedicated to households under 60 percent of the area median income. Housing Works has designated two of these units for formerly homeless veterans and two units of transitional housing for homeless families. Rents for the apartments are well-below market rate.
